Be sure to listen to the new podcast @sculptinglives. The wonderful series explores the lives and careers of five women Sculptors - Dame Barbara Hepworth, Dame Elisabeth Frink, Kim Lim, Phyllida Barlow and Rana Begum and is definitely worth a listen!

From Sculpting Lives: “We love this photo of Hepworth taken in the mid 50s by Peter Keen, from the collection of the National Portrait Gallery. In the 1950s Hepworth was still very much a carver and considered her practice as carving (she also understood the importance of imagery, and it is no surprise to see her here, tools in hand). Compared to Henry Moore she found the transition to bronze harder, and it took her a while to find a way to reconcile her ideas about a sculpture into bronze form. Her move to bronze was hugely important and we discuss why in our episode on Hepworth.”
